Wine Bottle Plant Stand

I saw this idea for a plant stand on the web, and thought I could make these for our annual gift exchange.

They are very inexpensive to make, and I used all recycled materials. Of course the wine bottles were easy to obtain, as I do enjoy good red wine!

Fortunately, I worked for a manufacturing company at the time and was able to obtain some shipping crates. These were perfect for the table platforms.

You can make them any size you like. I made a template out of cardboard to determine the size I liked. It’s basically shaped like a large guitar pic.

After cutting out the platform, I drilled 1″ Dia. holes in each of the three platform corners.

Here are the cut and drilled platforms. I painted some and stained others. I just used what I had in the garage.

You can also paint a design on them if you care to do some extra art work. Below, I got a little into my ‘Picasso’ flow.

These tables are a good way to recycle some materials, and give a gift to someone too.
