Black & White Sunday

This morning while working on photos, I was really into black and whites. So, I thought it would be cool to share some with you.

This image was taken just a few weeks ago in the small town of Niles, CA. It’s a great little town with lots of ‘throwbacks’ to yesterdays.

An old ‘Brownie’ camera. You can still buy film for these. It would be fun for ‘old time sake’ to buy some film and go out and do a photo shoot with an old camera like this.

A Liquid Amber leaf. The sun was just slightly illuminating the background.

A California poppy – yep, growing in a crack in the sidewalk. It’s almost like a “kirlian” photo, except the ‘energy aura’ is around the poppy’s shadow.

A Swallowtail butterfly taken decades ago with black and white film.

Have a colorful Sunday!

Photos On The Go – No. 3

Here’s a few shots from a local rodeo in California.

I was learning how to use Photoshop right after I took these images. So, as you will see, I used some filters to change things up a bit.

The rodeo’s ceremonial opening ride.

Just another day on the job… right!

Hats were standard attire everywhere.

Even this bull had a hat — well, it’s his now!

Anyone care to get that rider’s hat?
